Angel Young
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Prior to founding Harmony in 2015, Angel spent more than a decade with Goldman Sachs in Asia, joining as an analyst before eventually becoming Managing Director of the firm’s Private Wealth Management department in Hong Kong.

Throughout her career, Angel has been advising high net worth individuals, family offices and personal investment vehicles from across Greater China while managing clients’ portfolios across asset classes. Working closely with Goldman Sachs’ Investment Bank, Merchant Bank, and Securities Division, she developed deep domain expertise across several financial disciplines by helping major Chinese corporations raise funds in international capital markets, securing lead orders in landmark financing transactions and enabling clients to access Goldman Sachs’ proprietary deals and principal investment transactions.

In addition to her extensive experience in structuring, placing and risk-managing innovative structured derivatives, Angel has built, trained and managed teams of professionals and is eagerly involved in recruiting, mentoring and promoting diversity.

A CFA Charterholder and member of CPA Australia, Angel has a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Commerce (Major in Finance) from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

Dimitrios Kavvathas
Chief Investment Officer

Dimitrios is the chief investment officer of Harmony Advisors Dimitrios joined Harmony in June 2016 and is responsible for its discretionary investment mandates including an in-house multi strategy hedge fund, managed accounts, private equity, venture capital and special situations. Furthermore, Dimitrios oversees the firm's global asset allocation framework as well as fundamental and quantitative research efforts across all assets.

Prior to Harmony, Dimitrios worked at Noble Group as co-head of financial services, where he was responsible for structured finance, commodity enhanced finance and origination. He also briefly served as Asia Pacific head of global markets for VTB Capital.

Dimitrios joined Goldman Sachs in 2001 and was promoted to managing director in 2005 and to partner in 2008. He served on several senior positions including co-head of Asia Pacific Securities Division Distribution, and member of the Operating Committee. He was also a member of the Asia Pacific Risk Committee, the Global Firmwide New Activity Committee, the Global Firmwide Asset & Liability Committee, and the Goldman Sachs Asia LLC Board of Directors.

Dimitrios holds a BSc in economics from Athens University of Economics and Business, and an MA and PhD in economics from the University of Chicago.


Kelvin Chau

Senior Advisor

Kelvin is Senior Advisor of Harmony Capital International Ltd and Harmony Advisors Ltd. He has extensive experience in banking and financial services, gained through a 34-year career at Rothschild & Co, where he was Chairman in Hong Kong. He has previously served as head of investment banking and head of the firm's Hong Kong operations until his retirement in 2020. During his career he provided M&A, strategic and financing advice, as well as investment and wealth management solutions to publicly-listed, private and family companies, entrepreneurs, and governments.

Kelvin is an independent non-executive director of Allied Group Ltd and Travel Expert (Enterprises) Ltd, both companies are listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd. He also serves on the University Council’s Finance Committee and Investment sub-committee at the City University of Hong Kong. Kelvin holds a bachelor of laws degree from Buckingham University, United Kingdom and is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors

Jane Yu
Head of Research

Prior to joining Harmony, Jane worked for a Hong Kong-based family office specialising in global equity and hedge fund investment. She also worked for Petrel Capital Management Ltd where she performed fundamental research for the public equity market. Previously, she was as an energy industry consultant for the Financial Times, and worked for the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China where she focused on project financing for public-private-partnerships.

A CFA charterholder, Jane holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University and a BA from Fudan University.
